FAQs for Individuals
How to sign up to WayHome

WayHome is free to user for Individuals. The first step is to click SIGN UP and begin filling in your profile information. You can provide as much information in your profile as you are comfortable with.

The only information that is public is your First Name and Initial, Preferred Location, Age and Type of Housing that you are looking for. (I am double checking with developers now about what the public (non members) can view).

For other users to connect with you and see more information about you, they will need to become members and send you a notification. Once you receive this notification, you can decide whether to approve or deny that user to see more of your information.

WayHome personal profiles allow NDIS Plan information to be added. Your personal profile detail will allow other Individuals, Support Coordinators and housing providers to find and match you to the most suitable accommodation and/or housemate. Once you have filled out your profile you can start searching and connecting with individuals and housing providers.

If you find a home that you like or a housemate that looks suitable and you’d like to find out more information or send them a message, click the SEND A MESSAGE button. This will notify the other party that you would like to connect. For privacy and safety reasons, you cannot connect with an individual until they ACCEPT your request to connect.

When I sign-up, what information will I need to provide?

All the information that you give is completely voluntary and covered under our privacy policy. Your profile contains two parts – part one is basic information that is visible to other members of WayHome. Part two of your profile is only visible to users that you give permission to view.

The reason for a two-part profile is that to ensure user privacy protection but also to allow you to find more accurate matches. The biggest challenge with housemate searching is compatibility. By providing as much information as possible, it makes it easier for you and other users to find the right match quicker!
